All of these measurements were very useful, especially when making the histogram and identifying the range, mean, and standard deviation of the cube measurements.
The acceptable range for the cube measurements were calculated by putting in functions, and then Excel would program each equation. The data analysis helped with calculating the percent within each range of the histogram data.

I timed my five friends and my Mom and Dad while they solve the Puzzle Cube Challenge. According to the data that I recorded, the older people (my Mom and Dad) solved the puzzle in a quicker time than my younger friends. This most likely shows that the older the person, the wiser and quicker their minds react while solving the puzzle, which allows them to solve it in a quicker time. As the age of the person increases, the number of time that it takes them to solve the puzzle decreases.
I feel like my cube was a little too easy to solve, since most people put it together in under 10 minutes. I would probably change the way that the pieces were designed, such as making them more detailed and complicated; also by finding a different and harder way to put the puzzle together. |
