Pulley = 1:1 Screw = 9.42:1 Gear Train = .2:1 |
In this photo I am adjusting the slope from the initial idea and making it so that it can bear a large amount of weight, enough to close the laptop.

Deshawn was tightening the gear train so that when we added the screw and pulley, the gears would create enough torque and power to close the laptop.

Dylan is making the base for the bottom gear of the pulley in this photo, because the pulley’s top gear and bottom gear had to be far enough apart to fit the laptop in the pulley to close the sides with the force created.
